Chad fell in love with British cars at 12 and in 1999 he purchased and restored a 1973 MGB. This shop is his life's dream, blending the business aspects of automotive work with his love of all things British and belief in truly caring about the vehicle and customer.
Kelly purchased a dilapidated 1967 Austin-Healey Sprite from Chad in 2015 and morphed from customer to employee during the 10-month process of doing a full restoration herself. She is currently restoring a 1966 Volvo 122S, and keeps her hands in the paperwork side of things at the shop 1 to 2 days a week. Now a mechanic for her own cars, she has overseen almost every aspect of running the business.
Ian was a customer who has joined up as a part-time employee. Born in England, he grew up toddling around the garage helping his father restoring the family's 1967 TR4A. His first car was a '74 Spitfire that he and his father restored together. Among other experience, Ian has been a welder and fabricator for 25 years, 10 of which was doing racing fabrication in Georgia. Along with other play cars, Ian still has the 4A, his own '57 TR3 and a '73 MGB GT.
Originally from Estacada, Asher grew up in Vietnam and Dubai, summering at home in Oregon. During one of those summers, at age 13, it was love at first sight when he saw a red chrome-bumper MGB. It would be another 8 years before he could act on it: when his daily driver-- a '96 Astro Van-- packed it in, he found a '77 MGB on Craigslist a mile from his house. He became the proud -- but poorer!-- owner-- ongoing clutch issues kept him challenged. He finally brought it into BMC for assistance, and after a day of collaboration, Chad was so impressed with his enthusiasm, attitude, and personality that Asher was asked to switch from customer to employee. He's a fun addition to the team, and fits well into our shop vibe!
Matt comes to BMC after 13 years working in the restaurant industry. When COVID shut everything down, he decided to pursue a passion for automotive work. He is simultaneously pursuing his Associates Degree through the PCC Automotive Service Technology Program and working at BMC in non-class hours. He grew up around his father's 1967 Triumph GT6, and has owned 1967 and 1981 Triumph Spitfires. We are very happy he knocked on our door with his resume in hand!
